1) Promotion: IQUW Live Tech Threads Meta Ray-Bans Giveaway
2) Promoter: IQUW SYNDICATE MANAGEMENT LIMITED (“IQUW”) whose registered office address is at 30 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 3BD. Registered in England and Wales No. 00426475. Authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority (FRN 204851). IQUW is Managing Agent of IQUW Syndicate 1856 at Lloyd’s.
3) Eligibility: The promotion is only open to staff of insurance brokers who have agency with IQUW. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. The promotion is not open to employees of the IQUW Group and their families and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation of the promotion. Entrants must obtain their employer’s permission to participate in the promotion and entrants confirm that their participation in the promotion does not violate their employer’s policies and procedures. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter the prize draws. Internet access required for online participants.
4) Promotion Period: This promotion will start on Wednesday 28 May 2025 (09:00 BST) and will end on Wednesday 11 June 2025 at 21:00 BST.
5) Prize Details: There are two prizes: one pair of Meta Ray-Ban glasses will be given to the IQUW Live physical attendee winner, and one pair of Meta Ray-Ban glasses will be given to the IQUW Live online webinar attendee winner. The two winners will be given 4 working days to choose the frames and styles of the glasses they want up to the value of £400.00 from the website: ray-ban.com/uk/ray-ban-meta-ai-glasses. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
6) How to participate: Eligible participants who attend IQUW Live Tech Threads either online or in-person on Wednesday 11 June 2025 will automatically be entered into the online or in-person prize draw (as applicable). Only one entry per staff member of any broker. Responsibility cannot be accepted for entries not successfully completed for whatever reason.
7) Winner Selection: Two prize draws will take place on Wednesday 11 June 2025, one for in-person attendees of IQUW Live Tech Threads and one for online attendees. For each prize draw, one winner will be chosen at random from all eligible insurance broker staff who are in attendance in-person or online (as applicable) at IQUW Live Tech Threads at 4.30pm.
8) Winner Notification: The winners will be announced at the IQUW Live Tech Threads event in IQUW’s London office, and online winner will be announced via the online live webinar, by 5pm on Wednesday 11th June. If an entrant objects to either their name or employer being announced in this way, the entrant should contact the Promoter via parth.patel@ers.com. Winners will also be notified by email within one working day of the prize draws and will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize, their choice of glasses, their postal address for delivery of the glasses and any further information required to evidence their eligibility to participate in the promotion, within four working days of receipt of the notification email.
9) Prize will be forfeited if winner does not respond within certain time period: If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize, including choosing the frames of glasses they want within four working days of notification, or if the winner does not meet the criteria in condition 3, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and select a replacement winner in accordance with the process described at condition 7 above.
10) Prize Delivery: The Meta Ray-Ban glasses will be ordered to be delivered to the relevant winner’s office address within 30 days of the relevant prize being claimed, provided that the winner provided their address within four working days of notification in accordance with condition 8.
11) Promoter Decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12) General
(a) Nothing in these terms and conditions overrides an entrant’s duty to place the interests of its clients before all other considerations when arranging and administering insurance policies under any Terms of Business Agreement with IQUW, nor shall these terms and conditions override any legal or regulatory requirements (whether obligatory or advisory) which may apply to the entrant, IQUW or the placing of insurance business including for the avoidance of doubt the entrant’s obligation to treat customers fairly.
(b) Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit in any way the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. Subject to that, the Promoter shall have no liability for: (a) any delay and/or failure to perform any obligation to any entrant that is caused by technical problems of any kind which may limit or prevent any person’s participation in the promotion, or any event beyond the Promoter’s control; (b) any loss or damage arising from or in connection with the allocation of the prizes; or (c) any other events beyond the Promoter’s control that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted or may lead to loss of the prizes. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring because of taking up the prizes except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or that of its employees. The winners’ statutory rights are not affected.
(c) Entry to any of the prize draws is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
(d) This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with LinkedIn or any other Social Network.
(e) The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the name and county of the winners to anyone who writes to the Marketing Team, IQUW, 30 Fenchurch Street, London, EC3M 3BD (enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope) within one month after the date of the final draw stated in condition 7. If an entrant objects to either their name or county being published or made available, the entrant should contact the Promoter at parth.patel@ers.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
(f) The winners of this promotion may be asked to participate in publicity.
(g) The promotion and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
13) Data Protection
Any personal data submitted by entrants will be used solely in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Promoter’s privacy policy, which can be found here. See also condition 12(e) with regards to the announcement of winners.
